I agree. The Babbitt situation was completely different; one cop was under siege with people breaking though the doors. If any cop could ever claim that (A) it was their job to stop the advance, and (B) they felt their safety threatened, that would have it. It's a shame that Babbit was a vet, as I have nothing but respect for them, but in the words of the GOP --"don't want to die or be arrested, don't commit a crime." We;;, that is usually their words as long as the victim isn't non-white.
